Will I get new teeth on the day of the procedure?

Yes — in most cases we attach a temporary bridge to the implants on the same day. You leave the clinic with a complete, fixed smile and can speak and function freely. The bridge also protects the healing tissues, helps shape the gums and makes it easier to get used to the new teeth.

We always aim for the least invasive possible reconstruction of lost teeth and tissues. In many cases, however, dental and periodontal disease leads not only to the loss of teeth but also of bone and gums. In such situations, restoring only the teeth can result in an unnaturally long and unaesthetic smile. That is why the treatment plan is always selected individually, based on the patient’s anatomical conditions and on the principles of medicine driven by functional and aesthetic needs. Every case requires individual analysis in order to choose the solution that will deliver the best possible aesthetic, functional and biological outcome.

Is the procedure painful?

Definitely not. The procedure is carried out under very effective local anaesthesia, which completely eliminates pain. For patients who feel strong anxiety or need extra comfort, we also offer the option of performing the procedure under full general anaesthesia — in that case the patient simply falls asleep and wakes up once everything is done. After the procedure there may be some natural, mild swelling or tenderness, which we fully control with appropriately selected medication. Most of our patients return to their daily activities within a few days.

Is a procedure under general anaesthesia safe?

General anaesthesia is a safe and well-controlled method, provided the patient is properly prepared and an experienced anaesthesiology team is involved. Before the procedure we carry out detailed diagnostics that allow us to assess the state of health and rule out any contraindications. This lets us plan the course of anaesthesia consciously and individually. Throughout the entire procedure the patient remains under the constant care of an experienced anaesthesiologist and an anaesthetic nurse, who continuously monitor vital functions and ensure full safety and comfort. The combination of modern medical standards, advanced equipment and a specialised team makes general anaesthesia a predictable and safe procedure.

How long does the All-on-X / All-on-4 / All-on-6 procedure take?

The duration of the procedure is key for smooth healing — the shorter the intervention, the less the bone and gums are burdened, which translates into better healing. To the total visit time you should also add the stage of preparing the temporary bridge you will leave the clinic with.

How long does healing take?

The first few days after the procedure are a time of natural regeneration, but thanks to the immediately fitted temporary bridge you can return to normal functioning almost straight away. The key process — full integration of the implants with the bone (osseointegration) — usually takes 3 to 4 months. That is a short time, after which your new smile is fully stable and ready for the final prosthetic restoration.

It should be remembered, however, that the durability of the work largely depends on the patient. The key factor is maintaining a high level of oral hygiene and attending regular follow-up visits.

How do I care for my new teeth?

Maintaining hygiene after the procedure is simple and does not require complicated routines. Daily care is based on regular brushing with a soft brush and the use of a water flosser and dental floss. Most importantly, we do not leave you on your own — during the treatment process we educate and teach every patient, step by step, how to care for their new smile properly so they can enjoy it for as long as possible. Home hygiene is complemented by regular check-ups and professional hygiene appointments at our clinic.

Does smoking rule out treatment?

Smoking does not rule out implant treatment, but it significantly increases the risk of complications and can affect healing and the durability of the results. We therefore strongly recommend reducing or completely giving up smoking before and after the procedure.
