How much does All-on-4 cost? What really drives the price

The question about price is usually the first one – and rightly so. Restoring a full dental arch is a serious financial decision. The problem is that the answer “All-on-4 costs X”, without explaining what exactly that amount includes, says almost nothing. Below I break the cost down into its components.

Treatment runs in stages – and so does the cost

The cost of treatment depends on the chosen solution and is divided into two stages:

• Stage I – placement of the implants together with a temporary bridge: from PLN 27,000
• Stage II – fabrication of the final bridge: from PLN 19,000

Splitting the cost into two stages is not a marketing trick – it follows the biology of treatment. Three to four months pass between the two stages, needed for full integration of the implants with the bone (osseointegration). During that time the patient functions on a fixed temporary bridge, which is part of the first stage.

What makes up that amount

The price of a full arch restoration is not the “price of implants”. Implants are only one of many components:

• Diagnostics – CBCT computed tomography, intraoral scans, photographic documentation, analysis of the anatomical conditions.
• Digital treatment planning – designing the shape, proportions and position of the teeth in software before the procedure even begins.
• The procedure itself – extractions, placement of the implants, digital registration of their position.
• The temporary bridge – made and screwed in on the day of surgery.
• The final bridge – made of zirconia, a durable and aesthetic material, precisely matched to the patient's expectations.
• Follow-up visits and postoperative care.

Why prices differ so much between practices

Several factors genuinely change the cost – and these are what to look at when comparing offers.

The number of implants. All-on-4 supports the restoration on four implants, All-on-6 on six – the latter offers additional stability but costs more. The choice is dictated by anatomical conditions, not by price preference.

The material of the final bridge. Zirconia is durable and aesthetic, but also more expensive than cheaper alternatives. This is the element where saving money backfires fastest.

The extent of tissue restoration. Dental and periodontal disease often leads not only to the loss of teeth, but also of bone and gums. If soft tissues have to be recreated as well, the prosthetic work is more complex.

Technology. Photogrammetry, intraoral scanning and digital planning are a real equipment cost – but also the reason why the prosthetic work fits perfectly, without tension or adjustments.

The difficulty of the case. Advanced bone atrophy, previous failed treatment or the need for zygomatic implants are procedures of a different order of complexity.

What the price should not leave out

It is worth asking directly whether the quoted amount covers diagnostics, the temporary bridge and follow-up visits. Sometimes an attractive headline price applies only to the implants themselves, and everything else is added later. Comparing such offers with a price that covers complete treatment leads to false conclusions.

The long-term perspective

A properly designed and executed bridge can serve for many years and, with proper care, even for a lifetime. Implants, made of biocompatible materials, fuse permanently with the bone and form a solid foundation for a new smile. However, the durability of the work depends largely on the patient: excellent oral hygiene and regular check-ups are essential.
