Teeth in one day – what the treatment looks like step by step

“Teeth in one day” sounds like an advertising slogan, but it describes a very concrete reality: the patient walks into the clinic in the morning with teeth that need to be removed, or with no teeth at all, and leaves with a complete, fixed, screw-retained set of teeth. Here is what that looks like in practice.

Step 1. Consultation and diagnostics

Treatment begins with a consultation – examining the patient, analysing diagnostic results including computed tomography (CBCT), and taking photographs and digital intraoral scans. The doctor assesses the condition of the mouth, establishes an individual treatment plan tailored to the patient and answers all questions.

This is also when the treatment option is decided. All-on-4 supports the restoration on four implants, All-on-6 on six – the latter offers additional stability. The choice is dictated by anatomical conditions, visible only on the tomography scan.

It is worth knowing that qualification is decided by thorough diagnostics, and the All-on-X method is available to the vast majority of patients – even with advanced bone atrophy. Many of our patients had previously been told that they did not qualify for implant treatment.

Step 2. The day of surgery

This day covers the extraction of teeth, the placement of the implants and digital registration of the implant positions using technologies such as intraoral scanning and dental photogrammetry.

For an experienced doctor the procedure can often take under an hour. While waiting for the temporary teeth the patient can rest in a specially prepared patient room. The waiting time for the screw-retained temporary bridge is usually one to one and a half hours.

The temporary bridge is not a makeshift solution “to get by”. It protects the healing tissues, helps shape the gums and makes it easier to get used to the new teeth. The patient leaves the clinic with a complete, fixed smile and can speak and function freely.

Step 3. The final bridge

After an implant integration period of three to four months, a new bridge is made from zirconia, a durable and aesthetic material. It is precisely matched to the patient's expectations.

This is the moment when treatment is completed – the teeth are fully stable and designed for many years of use.

The role of technology in the whole process

Every smile in the All-on-X concept is first designed in advanced digital software. This makes it possible to plan the shape, proportions and position of the teeth precisely before treatment begins.

A three-dimensional image of the jaw from CBCT allows the implant positions to be planned with surgical precision, avoiding important anatomical structures and making maximum use of the available bone. Photogrammetry, in turn, transfers the implant arrangement into the computer with micron accuracy – which is why the prosthetic work fits perfectly, without tension or adjustments.

Life after treatment

Maintaining hygiene after the procedure is simple and does not require complicated routines. Daily care is based on regular brushing with a soft brush and the use of a water flosser and dental floss. During treatment we teach every patient step by step how to look after their new smile properly.

Home hygiene is complemented by regular check-ups and professional hygiene appointments. These are what determine most how long the work will serve.
